Reviewing equity portfolio

We have passed the half year mark. Some Singapore equity counters had released their quarterly results, including their semi-annual results. It is perhaps time to review your equity holdings. Consider realising some gains before the paper gains disappear in this volatile stock market. Paper gains are just that, paper gains and not money in your pocket.

World economy is uncertain for the second half and into 2011. At best, the global economy may stagnate without a second dip into recession. Be prepared for the worse case scenario and place some money in safe instruments without the high risks, such as Singapore dollar fixed deposits, Singapore money market instruments and Singapore government bonds (SGS).
