Inactive and Cautious

I have not been in the stock market for a while. The last transaction was carried out on 28 October and it was a sell order. Because I have a portfolio to start with, I see no reason to increase its size during this climate of uncertainty. Instead, I have been reviewing the portfolio and trimming it when opportunities arose when the Straits Times Index (STI) rose.

I took some losses on some stocks bought during the times when the STI was high. These losses come up to less than 2 per cent of the overall portfolio.
