Singapore STI jumped 1.25% today

Since last Friday, the Straits Times Index (STI) rose for the second time today and it was a good 1.25% jump in a single day today. The STI touched 3,111.83 points. At this level, it is still below 3,167.43 at the start of 2014.

As for my equity portfolio, it rose and fell just like the STI.

When the STI was down 0.97%, the portfolio declined even more at minus 1.60%. When the STI was up 1.01%, the portfolio rose more at 1.15%.

I am not selling out yet and intend to hold on to my stocks and wait for further upside to the STI. With a rising STI, it raises most stocks like a rising tide that raises all ships.
