Straits Times Index from Jan 2006 to March 2014

The month-end values of STI for eight years from January 2006 to March 2014 are charted below. Note that the global financial crisis came on in late 2007. STI rebounded from March 2009.

The maximum value for the STI was 3,805.70 points at October 2007. The minimum value was 1,594.87 points at February 2009. The median value was 2,994.06 points over eight years.

The STI moved around the median of about 3,000 points since mid-2010. For 2013, the best months were March, April, May when the STI were above 3,300 points.

Currently, it is trying to reach 3,300 points. (now at 3,264 points at 1.53 pm, 30 June 2014)
