Stocks recovered in tandem with STI

My Singapore equity portfolio recovered in tandem with the Straits Times Index. The STI rose again today continuing the uptrend since last week.

Date STI Change (%)
2 Oct 2015 2,793.15 NA
5 Oct 2015 2,851.25 + 2.08
6 Oct 2015 2,897.41 + 1.61
7 Oct 2015 2,961.81 + 2.22
8 Oct 2015 2,947.03 – 0.49
9 Oct 2015 2,998.50 + 1.75
12 Oct 2015 3,032.11 + 1.12

My portfolio reduced its paper loss from 17.95% to 11.50% over the same period. The STI is still 9.9% down since the start of this year. My selection of counters in the portfolio wasn’t too bad after all. These are stocks I would keep for longer term for their dividends.
