I track share prices over years as part of decision making. The table shows some select stocks and prices at end of each year. The change (%) is calculated between 2014 and 2015.

2012, 2013 and 2014 were comparable as the STI for these years was above 3,000 points. In 2015, the STI dropped 14.3% to 2,882.73 points. From the table, we can tell which stocks were down badly in 2015 when compared with 2014.
In the first three weeks of 2016, the STI continued to decline. The STI was down 11.6% to 2,546.18 points as at 27 January 2016. The stocks were down.

Between 2012 and now, most share prices were not recognisable. Some lost so much value. Mind you, these are well-known companies.
