Me

This blog titled Living Investment was started in October 2006. The original intention of setting up this Blog was to share some of my experiences in Living Well with Peace.

Most of it will cover finance and investment related matters. Some good practices which I am sharing came about because they worked and also because some did not and hence valuable lessons were learned so as not to repeat them.

I will stay true to the theme of Living Well with Peace and cover other areas beyond financial subjects, such as physical and mental well-being.

The blog has 12 categories:

1. Art Related
2. Book Review
3. Economics
4. Education Matters
5. Financial Management
6. I Remember Series
7. Living Tips
8. Life Journey
9. Travelogue
10. Retirement Planning
11. Social Issues
12. Things Beautiful and Meaningful

You can click on any category on the right–hand side of the blog. You will see all writings relating to a particular category written since 2006.

Thanks for sharing your insights on investment honestly even if it was a loss making decision.

Keep doing it for self-fulfillment and enjoyment, more than anything else. I like the investment part, as I am almost on the verge of retiring

Hi Ernest, Thanks for your interest in my blog. This blog is just some writings of my observations and meant to occupy my free time. It has been a one-way delivery with hardly any strings of comments that follow each posting. It is so far a stand-alone blog. I meant to keep that way. Cheers.

  6. Hi Kim Tong,

I have a Finance & Investing site – TheFinance.sg. The purpose of this site is to consolidate quality sites and articles like yours together. By doing so, I hope to promote local blogs and financial literacy to a larger audience.

I have read your blog and they are well written and informative. As such, can I have your permission to publish your articles of no more than 150 words in my site?

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

    Best Regards,
    Derek

      Hi Derek,

Thanks for your message. I write this blog to pass my time and not intended to be a professional platform (financial institutions provide them). Reading my blog is at readers own risks. I am not inclined to widen my reader base. So sorry to disappoint.

      Best Regards.
